The concept behind 'Nightshades' is based upon the electric sky formations, which occur within Aurora Borealis.
I used the body's natural silhouette as my blank canvas, representing the sky, in which I then built upon, moulding it into interesting alternatives to the body's natural form. I created these shapes with the electric visions of the Auroras through a mixture of abstract pattern cutting and controlled drape. The palette consists of vivid streams of neon peach injected amongst shades of night; inky blues, dusky greys and metallic silvers. Textures contrast in forms of sheer and opaque.
